Nico Will Love Hawaii and its Beaches!!!
Posted by: MommyMay / Category: Baby Life, Mommy Life, Mommy ThoughtsIt’s been long I know. Heven’t been writing here for a month or so. I have been busy.. very busy. Nico and I moved in with my parents now (will have another post about that), so was busy with the packing and the moving, and all the dramas in between. Then I was busy with the job, or shall I say, the old job (will have another post about that too hehehe). Then there’s the new job (guess will talk about this in the ex-job’s post). And have been busy with other sweet activities with Nico as well (like our McDo moments below, hehehe!).

But well, aside from the fact that I miss blogging again and that I wanna update my baby’s blog, I’m also here to “gather” all his posts (yep! everything!) because the site’s gonna close in about a month and I’m not gonna renew the hosting. Will start a new blog with Mark though; something about building our family, so I think I will have to oblige Mark to write as well… Are you reading this Mahal? LOL! But then again, we already talked about this

Ok, let’s move to what really this post is about (I’m sure you can read that in the title). So… we just celebrated my Mom’s birthday twice — at home and at a beach. But this is about the beach celebration so I guess there’ll be no pictures at home…

Well, while we were still in my Dad’s car, Nico was already squirming on my lap, blabbing about “swiiimmmm” and “dadat” (dagat is the Filipino for the sea or the beach), so I guess you can tell how excited he was. When we got there, Nico wanted to go swimming right there and then! I guess all kids are excited to swim either in the beach or the pool but Nico’s going nuts with the water! He’s way too “inlove” with it as if he hasn’t seen one before (we’ve been on a beach for so many times).

Even when the tide is high and the wave rushed from his knee to his neck, he’s not afraid to go deeper! He wouldn’t even let me hold his hand! He’s going nuts alright! He actually submerged himself more than three times because he pushed me away when I tried to hold him while he was walking (the water was on his neck). He never once cried! Even when he swallowed water! (The only time he cried was when I told him it’s time to eat and we have to get out of the water) He was even laughing as if it’s just a game he plays. I thought I was going to faint!

So I guess Nico will be ok in Hawaii huh? I can just imagine him and his Dad leaving me at home so they could go have a “boys only” fun at the beach. LOL! Well, Mark will be throwing him into the water and teaching him to swim (I can’t, I can’t swim, hehehe) so I’m sure he’ll have lots of fun.

Ahhh.. I so long to start building a complete family with Mark, I hope we get approve already. But well, he’ll be here on October and I’m sure it will take away the loneliness of being away from each other but it’s such a short visit! I know Nico misses his Dad too though sometimes he ignores him at skype because he’s busy playing with his cousins. But everytime he hears the skype “end call” sound, which he knows all too well, he will start chanting “Daddy… Daddy… Daddy?”. Then he would take a peek at the monitor and ask me “Daddy?”. I’ll tell him then “Heh! He was here talking to you and you ignored him and now you look for him? Silly boy!” LOL! Oh well, that’s my boy, he can be funny sometimes.

Going back to the “beach”. I sure would love to go to a beach with Mark and Nico during that 2-week vacation on October. But I think the closest beach getaway from Manila is Batangas and it’s 2-3hours away! I guess Father and Son will have to have their bonding moments in a pool… But nothing beats the beach! Oh well, maybe we’ll have the time to go to a beach. But then again, beach or no beach, it doesn’t really matter that much, I’m just soooooo thankful that I’ll be with Mark again and that Nico will get to see him again. Thank you skype but nothing compares to the real thing…
