Selling Time

So many things to buy, so little cash left, I wonder where I could get some extra dough to add to my finances? It’s not that I’m complaining, but I have been thinking about how expensive it is nowadays to nurture and take care of a growing up baby. Hmmm, I think I have to look up for some profitable avenues.

Selling some of my stuff is not a bad idea, especially those of no use to me anymore and may be useful to others like my magazines and books (got tons and tons of them I swear). If I really want to buy those fancy children’s books that I found this morning, as well as the language DVDs for my little angel, I think I would have to sell stuff of greater value.

I wonder where I can get a good price for my jewelry? I read somewhere in the net that there is a certain site that buys and sells every kind of gold that glitters :) this includes jewelry, scrap, bullion, bars and coins. The site will even teach you to on different gold topics like “how to sell gold coins”. Isn’t it neat? :)

I guess I should start reading if I really wanted the extra dough, not that Nico and I have got many gold, I actually (ehem) got just a few. Well, this might do, who knows? :)

My little angel — multilingual?

While online searching for children’s books, I came across a great site which sells Babies Language DVD along with other fun and educational languages products. These languages range from French, Spanish, Chinese, Hebrew, Italian, English and even Japanese, all for kids! Wow! I’m impressed! Wouldn’t you be?

What impressed me more is the way they encourage parents to teach several languages to babies… babies! Whoa! I never thought it is possible but Little Pim believes that in language teaching, starting early is always the key to success. Hmmm… My little angel – multilingual? I say, why not?! :)

I took my time in looking up the site and read on their discoveries, methods, testimonials and reviews and found out that at Nico;s age, I should take advantage of his natural, though transitory, penchant for learning several languages. It made me think, is it really possible? I guess I’ll have to think about this a million times before I went on investing Nico’s savings. After all, this is all for his learning and development. :)

But first, I’ll have to continue my book shopping or else I’ll have no book to read to my little angel tonight. I’ll be coming back to this site, perhaps purchase a DVD or two :)

Books For Nico :)

I’m currently looking up the net for good books. Nope, Nico is really smart but he can’t read yet :) Yet, I’m looking for children’s books to read to my little angel every night.

At his age, Nico is very curious about the different sounds and the different images that he sees. I think it’s the best time for him to learn from books. Hmmm, I’m not really grooming him to be a bookworm like me (sheesh!) but it seems fun to read those books to Nico.

Anyways, while searching online, I came across a site wherein various books can be found may it be academic (high school or college books), self-help books, religion, parenting, and more! It’s just sad that I found no “Children’s” category. I just think it’s a good place to buy (and even sell) books. I have nothing against second hand books as long as they’re still in good condition and Valore Books prides itself for its thousands of second-hand books in great condition.

I guess, I’ll shop for parenting books as well, along with Nico’s illustrated books. Shop with me! You’ll enjoy browsing :)

Just Nico and I :)

Finally!

I’ve been very busy this week (and the weeks ago) in finding a new place for me and my little angel. Yes, we’re not with Nico’s grandparents anymore. Unfortunately, though my Mom’s house is really big, it’s full of people (all my sisters and their families are there). The truth is I got entangled in a problem with my Dad and my sister and so I’ve chosen to move out. Besides, Nico and I are a family now, we should have our own place right?

And so, I’m sharing some of the room pictures that I’ve taken using my webcam. This is where Nico and I sleep (sad, nobody’s sleeping at the other room). The room is just about 14 square meters (yup, small), just enough for a queen-sized bed, drawers, fans and this computer set.

Nothing fancy, the place isn’t really your typical subdivision house because this isn’t a subdivision. We are situated somewhere at the heart of the city. The house is of 2 floors actually, the rooms are upstairs. Downstairs, it’s concrete, but here, it’s mostly wood. But I don’t mind, I’m not really the choosy type. I’m used to living a simple (and even poverty-stricken) life, and this is what I can afford so I should be happy about it.

I hope Nico wouldn’t mind though. This isn’t what I am envisioning for him but Mommy’s gonna find a way to make his everyday comfortable, fun, safe and memorable, not to mention full of wisdom and love. I pray to God that He’ll be with us during our stay here. God, please bless this house and those who dwell in it…

Little Nicholas turned 6 Months! :)

Whoa! How time flies! I can still remember that day when I first held my little angel on my arms; and now, he’s not so little anymore… though he’s growing more and more handsome and angelic each day :) I have here photos of my gorgeous little honey on his 4th month and now on his 6th. I’m telling the truth right? He’s really growing into a handsome boy each day! :) (Just don’t mind me ok? I’m having bad hair days, as always hahaha! And gosh! I still look pregnant! I wonder when I’ll finally shed these fats away?)

Anyway, I’ve read from a baby book that babies at Nico’s age tend to have the “clinginess syndrome” as well as the “separation anxiety”. Meaning, they are now very demanding of their mother’s presence and attention and will do anything to get what they want from their Moms. Oh well, I’ve seen that in my little angel since he was in his 3rd month. He clings to me like I’m the only one he’s got in this world (it rings a truth though). I don’t mind, I love loving and spoiling my baby, he’s my pride and joy. I guess it’s high time to call my baby “the older baby”. At six months, he’s not the “young baby” anymore! :)
