As Nico promised last night, I’m back to keep you updated of his first ever vacation in where else but to the beautiful land of promise, his Mommy’s hometown — Davao City.
It was on the 21st of December 2008 when Nico’s Gramps and Granny came to fetch us. They want us to celebrate the New Year with them in Davao, and of course, they want to see Nico (they’re so excited, it shows in their faces, that I can’t stop my tears from falling).
Anyways, it turned out to be Nico’s first long travel in a car as well. Cagayan de Oro City is about 4-5 hours from Davao City by land, so it was a rather exhausting journey. Nico however seemed not bother about it as he slept all the way from CDO to Davao City — good boy
The above photo was taken on the 24th of December, when we had our family reunion in High Ponds Resort. Nico has been sleeping all day and of course he can’t swim yet, so we opted to stay inside the cottage the whole day. It’s ok though, I wasn’t a bit bored, being with my angel, talking to him and looking into his face is such a delight. Also, we have visitors every now and then – my aunts and cousins who are so excited to see Nico! So it was still a very busy day for both of us.
Nico and I stayed for 15 days in Davao City. I miss home and my family so much that even if I know I should be sleeping during the day when Nico’s always asleep (he’s awake on evenings and dawns), I spent those hours bonding with my Mama, Papa, sisters and nieces and nephew. Nico and I haven’t been going around the city, since my little angel prefers to sleep the whole day so I really don’t have much places to show. I took pictures however and I will be posting them later as I’m still getting myself busy with the electronic scrapbook that I’m doing.
All in all, it was a great vacation, a wonderful holiday. What made it extra wonderful is the fact that Papa is so smitten with little Nicholas and that he never failed to show he’s forgiven me and that he loves me and Nico. Thank God for this wonderful blessing.
